This position requires the collaboration of the Security Monitor and law enforcement, with respect to visitors, intruders, employees and students, to assure a safe and secure environment and mutually respected relationships between and within those groups.
REPORTS TO:
Lincoln High School Principal ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS include the following.

Creates a favorable professional impact on students, parents, community, and other employees.
Maintains confidentiality in verbal, written, and electronic communication.
Refers confidential information to Building Administrators.
Follows safe practices and adheres to safety standards.
Provides front line customer services including welcoming and directing visitors to appropriate areas along with issuing visitor badges.
Serves as a resource to visitors entering the building.
Informs visitors of the District's building access policy, which in part, requires visitors to sign in.
Performs duties with patience, tact, good judgment and within established guidelines.
Establishes and maintains cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
Communicates professionally with school staff, students, parents and visitors.
Supervises students in unstructured situations.
Establishes a rapport with students in order to provide an atmosphere that is safe and conducive to the proper functioning of the school.
Communicates with administrative staff concerning student behavior or attitude that reflects a need for special concern.
Patrols and monitors school facilities (interior and exterior) to maintain order and security.
Consistently Monitors video surveillance cameras and reviews or releases recordings upon the Building Principal's direction.
Enforces school district rules, regulations and policies for the safety and security of students, staff, visitors and property in accordance with established procedures.
Monitors and reports maintenance, graffiti, and safety hazards.
Monitors vehicular traffic on and around schools and reports concerns as necessary.
Questions unauthorized persons on or around school premises.
Observes situations and accurately determines an effective course of action.
Works closely with building principals, school resource officers and the police department.
Assists building administration with student conflict situations as required.
Writes daily summary reports along with detailed student behavior and incident reports as necessary.
Reports illegal acts/incidents, any attempts of unauthorized entry and all suspicious activity immediately to the building principal.
Works collaboratively with the LHS Resource Officer.
Performs all other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Experience:
Working with high school age students preferred PERSONAL QUALITIES:

Recommendations from supervisors and other professionals who have observed the characteristics and performance that meet District's standards for hiring.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
