### _Programmer II_
The primary role of the experienced Programmer is to work with the applications team on existing applications, new applications, and the maintenance of these implementations. This position will be accountable for the development, customization, integration, architecture, and support of systems and additional applications.
Responsibilities:
Develop SQL queries for Meditech Data Repository, Crystal reports, and report writing. Create reports for the customer to show statistical information from multiple sources (including SQL Server), using advanced formulas to transform data for each client
Perform SQL Server DB administration through creation and management of SQL accounts, views, functions, stored procedures, permissions, databases, tables and roles
Create and maintain scripting services using
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
Well-developed communication, organization and customer service skills
Strong technical and analytical abilities
The ability to work independently and in a team environment
Knowledge of advanced relevant technologies desired (Approval Engine, Web Services, LDAP integration, and API programming; SQL Server; , ASP, etc.
Perform routing and customary opperation and monitoring activities to ensure the database environment is stable an dcapable of meeting ongoing business needs
Maintain documentation on design, database talbes, data mapping, configuration, and settings. Facilitate proper system operation and administration
Troubleshoot all issues and work iwth infrastructure to resolve database performance and capacity issues
Experience in the manipulation and analysis of statistical data from computerized information systems, such as, Meditech's HIS system and the Data Repository
Experience with Microsoft Office applications with a strong knowledge in MS Excel and Access
Education and
Experience:
Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent work experience
2 to 5
years of experience
Hands on experience using MS SQL to administrer health related databases. Experienced in manipulaiton and analysis of statistical data from computerized information systems, such as Meditech''s HIS system and Data Repository.
Microsoft and other IT Certifications a plus
