This 1973 Corvette 4-speed really captures the feel of a 1970's street machine.
It is loaded with period features like a big block 427, cowl hood, side pipes, and protruding rear tires.
The modifications have brought it a long way from its origins as a factory L82 car (original engine and hood included) while also making it a lot more fun.
This C3 has been with its third owner since 1992.
Its data tag shows a build date of March 15, 1973 with code 922 Medium Blue paint and a 413 Medium Blue vinyl interior.
It has seen one repaint in the mid 1980's using highly durable Imron paint.
Note the body has developed a few stress cracks in the decades since.
The polyurethane front bumper has also been replaced, and Hooker side pipes were added along with a corresponding rear valence.
A new hood was also installed for more clearance with the big motor.
Note the original hood is included and was painted along with the rest of the car.
The 15 wheels are American Racing Outlaw 2 series (seems appropriate) wearing BF Goodrich tires measuring 245/60 in front and 275/60 in back.
The original L82 350ci engine might have been a performance upgrade in 1973, but it's got nothing on the 427ci big block that took its place.
This engine was built by Nickerson Racing and is a destroked 454 using a 3999289 block.
It really roars and has plenty of bite throughout the rpm range.
Note the numbers-matching L82 engine (disassembled) is also included.
The M22 4-speed transmission adds to the fun factor, while the rear end has been replaced with a 1977 unit along with a VBP traction bar and stabilizer bar.
This Corvette is also equipped with power steering and power brakes with upgraded stainless calipers.
The interior was redone in the 1990's using the original theme.
Everything appears stock except for the Corvette radio and the 427 engine plate at the rear of the center console.
All gauges and indicators function properly.
The headlight doors and wipers operate smoothly as well.
Factory options include power windows and a tilt / telescoping steering wheel.
This car was also equipped with air conditioning, and while all the components are still present, it is non-functional and does not have a drive belt.
If you are a Corvette purist looking for something all original, then you will need to look elsewhere and spend more money.
But if you are looking for a fun, attention-grabbing Corvette with a 1970's flair then this may be your ticket.
