For Sale: 1968 Lincoln Continental in Manitowoc, Wisconsin for sale in Manitowoc, WI

1 of 50
Vehicle Description The 4-door Lincoln Continental of the 1960's is in a class all by itself.
No other car can match its combination of prestige, style, luxury, and power.
And while coach door designs had been around for decades prior, Lincoln's execution may be the greatest of all time.
This fantastic 1968 model has two stories to tell.
To begin, this car had a single owner for 50 years and has accumulated just 51k miles during its lifetime.
It is free of any rust issues with a straight body that looks magnificent in its Platinum paint.
Through limited use and proper care, it provided one of the nicest platforms you might find.
Which leads us to the second story, that being a great deal of work performed in 2021 to create the vehicle you see today.
Aside from a variety of mechanical updates, the most obvious modification is a professionally installed air suspension from BC Fabrication.
This is further enhanced by 20 Detroit Steel wheels painted Huron Blue (also a 1968 Continental color) and wearing custom 245/40 white stripe tires from Diamondback.
What a look! The 1968 Continentals were built with two different engines.
This one has the more desirable A-code Ford 460 cubic inch platform rated at a robust 365 hp and a whopping 485 ft-lb of torque! This is a proven engine that is easier to maintain than the 462 MEL platform from earlier builds.
The drivetrain continues with a Ford C6 automatic transmission feeding the beefy rear end with 2.
80 gears for good highway performance.
The car also has power steering and power front disc brakes with new rotors and calipers.
The blue interior is in excellent condition with new carpet and seat covers.
The diamond pattern and woodgrain trim creates a luxurious look that is all Lincoln.
As further testament to this car's quality, everything works.
That includes the ribbon speedometer, all gauges, all lighting, the power windows, and the power seat.
It also includes the factory climate control system - how rare is that! The air conditioning, heat, and defrost functions are all there.
And of course so are the horn, wipers, and power antenna.
Even the clock works.
The factory radio has been bypassed in favor of a custom sound system with a Kenwood head unit, hidden amplifier, and trunk mounted subwoofer.
There have been many interpretations of the suicide-door Lincolns.
This one has the unique combination of modern enhancements on a pristine platform.
The end product is a real show-stopper that you can drive anywhere in style and comfort.
I think you'll agree, there's nothing else like it.
