When is the last time you saw a 1-owner 383ci Mopar coupe with factory a/c for less than $15k? And I mean one that runs and drives; not some incomplete project rusting away in a field.
Well we've got one for you right here! This 1967 Plymouth Sport Fury is still on its original title dated 4-27-67 and has its factory big-block drivetrain as well.
It has seen a lot of recent service and is ready for a new owner after all these years.
This C-body spent the last 20 years on a trailer in a garage, but we went through a great deal of effort to put it back on the road.
The car saw a partial repaint in its factory white color (code W) many years ago.
The bumpers, trim pieces, and emblems all appear original and the body is straight and remarkably solid thanks in part to some vintage undercoating.
Note the fender mounted turn signals too.
It has four new tires, and while we do have the factory wheel covers, we thought it looked a little meaner without them.
The drivetrain is classic Mopar.
It starts with a 383 ci engine factory rated at 270 hp and 390 ft-lb.
This feeds a Torqueflite 727 automatic transmission followed by an 8-3/4 rear end with 2.
76 gears.
The car is equipped with power steering for easy maneuvering.
The brakes are in good operating condition with a new master cylinder and all four wheel cylinders.
The car has all new ball joints (those lowers are not cheap) along with a new exhaust, fuel tank, and sending unit.
The H6B blue interior is all original as well and features bucket seats with a center console.
The front seat cushion upholstery is splitting apart but otherwise things are in remarkably good condition for a 55-year-old car.
Equally impressive is all the working equipment; headlights, turn signals, hazards, backup lights, courtesy lights, dash lights, speedometer, gauges, 2-speed wipers, horn, parking brake, heater/defroster, AM radio, and more.
This Plymouth is also equipped with factory air conditioning which appears fully functional but is not fully charged.
Collector car prices have seen a huge surge lately, pushing many cars well out of reach for most people.
But with this Sport Fury you have a very affordable Mopar.
It's a solid car with a well-regarded drivetrain and lots of recent work.
And it hasn't been for sale since 1967.
