For Sale: 1966 Ford Mustang in Manitowoc, Wisconsin for sale in Manitowoc, WI
Vehicle Description All vehicle trades considered, including classics and performance.
We can assist with financing and shipping as needed.
While I'm sure you've seen plenty of first-generation Mustangs, take a close look at this one.
This 1966 coupe looks sharp with its Antique Bronze exterior and black Pony interior, and has a desirable factory V8 engine.
All pretty obvious attributes and not terribly hard to find on the market.
But what is hard to find is ANY car from the 60's as solid as this one.
With a long Texas history, it is one of the best examples you will find.
Unlike many classic cars, the discussion here starts with the underside which is all original and has never seen undercoating.
Be sure to see the pictures! Floor pans, frame sections, rocker panels, torque boxes; it's hard to believe this is a 56-year-old car.
And of course the factory VIN stamp is easy to read in the inner fender area.
The body has seen one repaint in its original color of Antique Bronze.
It has also received new bumpers and a number of new trim pieces throughout.
The 14 wheels have 1-year-old tires and simulated styled steel wheel covers.
Note the original wheel covers are also included.
The engine is the correct C-code 289 cubic inch V8.
It appears to be original (they did not VIN-stamp these blocks in 1966) and has a few newer parts such as the distributor cap, ignition coil, fuel pump, water pump, hoses, and similar.
The balance of the drivetrain consists of a C4 automatic transmission and 8 rear end with 2.
80 gears.
The brakes have recently been serviced with a new master cylinder and wheel cylinders, while the steering system has a replacement steering box, center link, and tie rod ends.
The car has a black Pony interior (coincidentally this is code 66 on the trim tag).
This trim package always gives the Mustang such a rich look with the fancier seat covers, door panels, and woodgrain pieces.
The reproduction center console is a great touch as well.
There is also an aftermarket digital AM/FM radio with aux input.
The speedometer, lights, turn signals, wipers, horn, and heater/defroster all work properly.
Even the hazard lights work! As an added bonus this Mustang also comes with its original owner's manual, Ownercard, and document envelope dated 2-15-66 from Texas Motors in Fort Worth, TX.
Also included is a car cover, shop manual, and various service records.
This Mustang presents a very appealing package.
It looks great and has a desirable 289ci V8 and Pony interior.
It is a turn-key car in good mechanical condition.
And the sheetmetal is what every classic car owner dreams of; you just don't find many in this condition.
Sound like the Mustang for you?.
