This car will make an Oldsmobile lover out of anyone.
It is a genuine 1967 442 that has the look, sound, and performance you would expect from a 60's muscle car.
The 400ci engine, unique louvered hood, and Flowmaster exhaust are just a small part of the fun.
But this one also has an automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, and working air conditioning so you don't have to take all the abuse some of these cars can dish out.
1967 was the final year for the first generation 442.
Based on the Cutlass Supreme, the 442 option is indicated by the 5V on the Framingham trim tag along with a few other distinguishing features.
This South Carolina car was originally finished in Champagne but has been repainted in Bright Platinum Metallic.
Some of the unique 442 items include the factory louvered hood and blacked out tail panel / bezels.
It also has the correct red-orange-yellow 442 badges on the fenders, grille, and trunk lid.
The chrome 14 SSI wheels wear 225/70 series redline tires with 2019 date codes.
The 400 cubic inch Oldsmobile engine is rated at 350 hp and a healthy 440 ft-lb of torque.
The Quadrajet carburetor and C heads (394548) help make for plenty of grunt with a terrific muscle car sound.
Everything appears stock other than an HEI distributor and open element air cleaner.
The radiator, steering box, and brake booster / master cylinder have been recently replaced too.
The big motor is backed by a switch-pitch TH400 automatic transmission followed by a 10-bolt B-O-P rear end.
Other equipment includes power steering and brakes along with the 442 boxed rear control arms and stabilizer bar.
The black interior features dual bucket seats around a center console that contains one of the best factory automatic shifters GM produced.
The black vinyl upholstery has been replaced at some point and is in good condition throughout.
The door panels also look sharp with their CS (Cutlass Supreme) logos while the factory 442 insignia appears on the dash.
This is a factory a/c car that has been converted to R134a refrigerant and blows cold.
Other functional features include the gauges, wipers, horn, heater, interior/exterior lights, turn signals, and parking brake.
There is also an aftermarket set of oil/water/volt gauges and a Sony digital radio.
GM's A-body platform covered several popular cars including the Chevelle and GTO.
While those are certainly nice models, the 442 offers something more unique with the same level of performance for less money.
Whether you're a long-time Olds owner or still looking for your first, this appealing car is worth a serious look.
