I don't think there's a more beautiful street rod than a 1934 Ford.
The perfect proportions, dramatic curves, and magnificent front grille are truly classic.
This steel-bodied 5-window coupe demonstrates that nicely while also incorporating a small block V8, overdrive, custom leather interior, and air conditioning.
It all comes together in a nice driving package that stands out wherever it goes.
This Ford is an older build that features a genuine steel body along with a fiberglass trunk lid and fenders.
The frame has been partially boxed for additional strength.
This rust-free specimen is also equipped with factory suicide doors (with deadbolts) and the correct center-hinged hood panels.
And of course there is that magnificent flowing front grille! Side marker lamps are also present.
There are chrome front push bumpers and a tubular rear bumper along with a small hitch receiver for those long weekend trips.
The bright yellow paint is accented by the red wheels with chrome center caps and trim rings.
Tires are from 2016 in sizes of 185/65R15 front and 235/70R15 rear.
The engine is a 350ci Chevrolet small block with all the usual performance parts like an aluminum intake manifold, 4-barrel carburetor, and electronic ignition.
Tubular headers feed the dual exhaust.
There is also an aluminum radiator for proper cooling.
Note how everything is tucked in nicely within the relatively narrow '34 fenders.
The transmission is a 700R4 overdrive unit that allows easy highway cruising below 2,000 rpm, while the rear end is a GM 12-bolt.
Additional modifications include a Mustang II style independent front suspension, rack and pinion steering, and power front disc brakes.
The custom red leather interior features power bucket seats along with a matching headliner and door panels.
The instrument panel presents an array of gauges and is clean and orderly.
Mid-dash you will find the heat / air conditioning controls just below the Kenwood head unit.
This '34 also has a tilt column for good ingress/egress.
It is also equipped with power windows and a power cowl vent door - pretty neat! The lights, wipers, turn signals, and horn all work properly.
The matching trunk contains an Alpine amplifier along with a battery box.
The '34 Ford represents an outstanding design that just seems to get better with age.
After nearly 90 years it still turns heads and makes people smile.
This one also brings the hot rod flare without going over the top.
With a/c, overdrive, and leather there is a lot to like here.
And while there are plenty of fiberglass replicas in this price range, you will not find many steel-bodied equivalents.
